How it works

Learning GPS, explained.

You tell QuantumRead where you want to go. It finds where you are starting from, builds the route, and tells you the next move — then adjusts as you learn.

Eight steps

From a goal to a route you can follow.

  1. Step 1:

    Destination

Choose where you want to go: become AI-ready, an AI architecture role, a certification, an exam, or a goal of your own.

  2. Step 2:

    Readiness

A short starting-point check. For AI it is 12 questions, one at a time. “I don't know yet” is a good answer. No score.

  3. Step 3:

    Starting position

Each area comes back as Right both times, Worth practising or Not yet — so nobody is assumed to start from zero.

  4. Step 4:

    Route

Your goal and your starting point become a route. It begins at your first gap, and the topics you missed come first.

  5. Step 5:

    Next move

One focused action at a time — read, practise or review — with the reason written next to it.

  6. Step 6:

    Practice

Questions on the topic in front of you, marked the moment you answer. A miss is information, not a penalty.

  7. Step 7:

    Adapt

What you answer changes what comes next: a missed topic comes back, a strong one moves on, reviews come round on their date.

  8. Step 8:

    Readiness, shown

Area by area, you see what you have covered, practised, retained and demonstrated. No readiness percentage.

An example

What it looks like on the AI route.

Someone who already uses AI tools takes the check. The early stages come back strong, so the route starts further on — and the topic they missed comes first.
Example route · Become AI-Ready
  1. AI Foundations — shown
  2. Generative AI and LLMs — shown
  3. Prompting — you are here
  4. Context and Retrieval — ahead
  5. Agents and Tools — ahead
  6. Responsible AI — ahead

Example. Two right answers in a check are a starting signal, not proof of mastery.

Why this?

Your readiness check showed a gap here, so it comes first.

Evidence

How QuantumRead knows you are getting closer.

Reading something and knowing it are kept apart. Each topic moves through four kinds of evidence.
  1. Covered

You read the lesson or your material. Exposure, not yet knowledge.

  2. Practised

You answered a question on it.

  3. Retained

You got it right again on a different day.

  4. Demonstrated

You used it in a task, marked against clear criteria.

Covered is never counted as knowing something. No readiness percentages, no streaks, no badges — only what you have actually shown.

What stays yours

You own the goal. QuantumRead owns the route.

You choose the destination, how much time you have, and when you switch goals. Switching keeps your progress; a goal you already have is never moved without asking.

QuantumRead does the navigating: where to start, what comes next, what needs repair, and when to review.
